Ultrasound Technician Schools in Idaho
One of the least densely populated states in the country, Idaho is situated in the northwest next to the coastal states of Washington and Oregon. Known for its variety of gems and abundance of potatoes, the biggest population cluster is in the capital city of Boise, which claims more than 587,000 residents in its greater metropolitan area. As a result, Boise is the best likely market for aspiring ultrasound technicians to look for work, especially if they’ve earned an accredited degree and taken the voluntary registration exam from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The city is also home to the only children’s hospital in the state, part of the St. Luke’s system of hospitals. Ultrasound techs and other medical employees in the state can look to the Idaho Hospital Association, a nonprofit trade group, for career guidance and further training.
