Ultrasound Technician Schools in Nebraska
Smack in the middle of the Great Plains, Nebraska possesses some of the most beautiful open tracts of land that America has to offer. It is one of the most prosperous farming and ranching states in the country, and a good portion of the land is regulated by the National Park Service and National Forest Service. Dotted with a few large cities and many more small towns, Nebraska does not hold the best employment opportunities for aspiring ultrasound technicians because of the relatively small size of many of its hospitals. However, that does not mean that ultrasound technicians cannot find rewarding careers in Nebraska. There are no licensing requirements for ultrasound technicians to work in Nebraska, but it is highly recommended that technicians seek voluntary certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). This will increase the technician’s chances of employment because it proves that the technician has the proper skills and knowledge needed for the position. The Nebraska Hospital Association and Nebraska Medical Center are both great resources for new ultrasound technicians working in the field.
