Ultrasound Technician Schools in North Dakota

Agriculture is the biggest industry in the state, producing soybeans, sugar beets, potatoes, and many more crops to feed the entire country. With wide expanses of farmland, North Dakota only has a small handful of large cities, making the state the third least populated state in the country. Unfortunately, this small population means that there is less demand for hospital staffers, making breaking into ultrasonography more difficult in this state than it would be in more populous states. Yet, it is still possible to enjoy a rewarding career as an ultrasound technician in North Dakota. Licensure is not necessary for practice, but earning voluntary certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is highly recommended to increase employment prospects.
